Posted on November 10, 2009

I have just given birth about 6 mths ago. Ever since i gave birth, i have been having yeast infection every month consecutively! I have gone to see 2 doctors who prescribed me with 2 different kind of creams. But, both are useless! I need something permanent. Please
help to recommend the best yeast infection cure.

  1. I was given a tablet and a cream which i used at the same time which worked for me. I also got told to use natural yogurt but that didn’t work but it might for you. Avoiding some foods could also help.

  2. Take the medication given to you, but the 2 best methods to help prevent it in the future are these:

    1) Take some sort of anti-oxident. It will help cleanse the urinary tract and vaginal area. The best ones are cranberry extract pills, which are rich in anti-oxidents. Also drinking grape juice, pomagranite juice, and cranberry juice will help.

    2) Keep the area as dry as possible. If you have sex constantly, you will get a yeast infection. You need to maintain dryness in the area as much as possible. Maybe using some baby powder with your panties will aid in doing this.

    Goodluck!

  3. both other bits of advice are brilliant but I want to add that your husband may be giving it back to you.
Thats what happened to my sister. She would get treated and then it would come right back. Your husband may have a mild case of it and not even notice. Guys do get it. Have your husband treated at the same time you are being treated and avoid unprotected sex for a while.
FYI it has nothing to do with infidelity. He could have gotten it from you the first time you had it and is simply passing it back to you.

  4. In addition to what the others said…

Stick away from sugary foods, fats, and alcohol. I’m vegan anyway, but my mother says staying away from animal products and meat helps. With the exception of natural yoghurt. Do some googling, generally sugars, alcohol and meat are said to be terrible for it as far as I know.

Drink lots of water, it dilutes all fluids so there is less for the yeast to munch on.

You can apply natural yoghurt directly to your vagina, when I was desperate, this helped considerably. Feels weird though!!

You can also take special bifidus tablets – special tablets that contain all the right bacteria to protect you, the same effect as natural yoghurt. This should help a lot and is a excellent alternative if you don’t like live, natural yoghurt. Go to a health store to find these.

Wash very regularly. Inside and out.

Are you having sex and are you using protection? If not, get your man tested. Men can carry yeast infections without showing symptoms. And keep reinfecting you.

Don’t wear tights, no tight jeans or trousers, avoid clothing down there wherever you can. Long airy skirts with no knickers are excellent if you are at home etc.

If you must, wear cotton underwear. No lace or polyester, and nothing that rubs.

Make sure you get plenty of air etc to the area when you can, and it is not left moist – dry thoroughly using a clean towel following a shower.

If all else fails, I’ve gone to the drastic measure of eating very small, just homemade soup – to make sure my sugar intake was very low. Starving yourself will starve the yeast too.

Continue treatment for 5-9 days after symptoms have stopped. It will linger and come back otherwise.

That’s all I can reckon of. Hope it works.

BTW: please DON’T drink lots of fruit juice as that guy suggested! Full of sugar!!! He has misunderstood and got confused with UTIs, it is yeast, a living thing that eats sugar. It has nothing to do with all that and sugar will make it worse. You need to avoid sugar like the plague.

  5. Instead of creams use natural yogurt (worked for me after i had my kids) and wear only cotton underwear. :)

  6. Hi Rachel

I had recurring yeast infection about 2 years ago. I was equally frustrated because i need a permanent yeast infection cure, just like you.

I’ve tried many products from doctor and pharmacists but all efforts failed. Luckily, I came
across this product that not only get rid of yeast infection, but also reveal the root cause
of the my problem! From that day onwards, i realized that drugs from doctor or products sold over the counter is basically
meant for on-going use and not to permanently eliminate the problem. If you are really
serious in getting a permanent cure, i urge you to go to http://www.treat-yeast-infection.com now. It’s certainly worthwhile!
I’m confident that you won’t suffer any yeast recurring infection anymore
